Winter in NY

January 23, 2010

Just some pictures I’ve taken on my phone from the winter season in NY. For those of you not here, I thought you’d enjoy it.

Check out this video of a massive snowball fight in Times Square. I think it’s awesome.

Quite Possibly My Longest Post Ever. Oy. (Part 2)

December 20, 2009

Thanks to Michael Ausiello @ Entertainment Weekly for Chuck‘s  season 3 promo poster:

You can also click here to get a sneak peek at two upcoming guest stars on Chuck this season, again, thanks to Michael Ausiello. For more pictures from this upcoming season, click here! For those of you who want to catch up before the new season premieres, Syfy will be airing 8 episodes from season 2 marathon-style on January 7th. Personally, I think it’s much better to rent the DVDs so you can watch the entire season instead of only 8 episodes, BUT I guess that’s better than nothing. If you’d just like a quick update video and a “what to expect” sort of thing, NBC has put this little number together for us!

Kenny Ortega has signed on to direct the upcoming In The Heights movie. This is based on the Broadway show, for those of you who are unfamiliar. To familiarize yourself with the awesomeness, I share this video, which initially hooked me and got me to purchase tickets. For the first time. I’ve seen it 3 times as of today.

Speaking of musical numbers, (Damn! What a transition!) if you’re interested in seeing some pictures from a scene in the upcoming 100th episode of HIMYM, click here! Yes, it features a musical number. Also featured in the 100th episode is an upcoming guest that I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned before, but just in case, click here to find out. There are pictures of said guest and it’s potentially spoiler-y because there have been bits of information saying she’s a mom-candidate. I have to say… that makes no sense, IMO. The show is called “How I MET Your Mother”; not “How I Married Your Mother”, right? So I kind of feel like, the show should end when he MEETS the mother, right? I might be alone on this, but I’m a very literal person and that’s how I see it. Okay; mini-rant over. In other fun HIMYM related news, if you remember correctly, the last new episode had Lily’s voice drastically changing once she started smoking cigarettes again. Well, as soon as she opened her mouth, I knew whose voice that was. Thanks to this article on Playbill.com, it’s been confirmed. So great.

Modern Family‘s Jesse Tyler Ferguson is reprising his season one role on Ugly Betty. In other UB news, click here for some preview pictures of a character who was introduced in the most recent episode who will be back for some more! There are totally spoilery things on that page, so if you don’t want to know, you might want to skip over that.

More to come…

I Heart NY

and this song. and now, this video.

(I especially love the inclusion of the new red stairs in Times Square.)

Tomorrow…

October 28, 2009

I promise I will post a new, lengthy blog. I tried to update tonight, but seriously, I have over 20 links to share. No joke. News about Broadway, Glee, Scrubs, Cougar Town, Jay-Z… it’s all across the board, people. I will put it ALL together tomorrow.

My Upcoming UCB Show

October 23, 2009

Okay so, I’m pretty sure I don’t normally do this, BUT I actually have something people can (and are encouraged to) attend, so I wanted to post about it here. For those who don’t know, I’ve been taking comedy improv classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade training center and our graduation show is this Sunday at noon. It’s $5, since most of you probably aren’t UCB students, but if you ARE, it’s free! To quote what I wrote on my career blog, mostly because I’m lazy at 11:02 pm, “We did a few practice shows today and I’m really proud of our class… without overselling it, I think we’re gonna have a lot of fun and we want the most amount of people we can find to be a part of it! See you there (hopefully)!” So that’s the deal. If you have any questions, feel free to comment or e-mail me!

Welcome to May- catching up!

1 word: Squee

And now for a smattering of entertainment news:

You can soon watch ABC shows on Hulu!

Wonka, the company that makes Nerds candies, has joined the campaign to save Chuck!

Speaking of Chuck, don’t hold your breath waiting for an announcement this Monday, when the rest of the NBC schedule is announced. According to this article, we’ll have to wait a little longer.

If you’re interested in keeping track of what shows will be renewed or canceled, check out this site for the most up-to-date information!

And some new Jenna/Angela awesomeness:

And last, but definitely not least, we have the first promo for this upcoming week’s episode of The Office. Do not watch this if you don’t want to know a potential spoiler. Here’s the thing… NBC promos are often misleading and this particular episode was written by 2 new writers. My personal opinion is that new writers would not be given major plots/episodes so just take all of that for what it’s worth. However, I wouldn’t put it up here if it didn’t make me smile. Like, a lot.

P.S. Thanks to a friend for some of the links!

P.P.S. I just realized this post is Jenna Fischer video heavy. It wasn’t done on purpose, but you’re welcome :)
